India Climate Policy and Business Conclave 2016

The India Climate Policy and Business Conclave is India's flagship event in the climate change domain, organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and The World Bank Group. The Conclave is supported by GIZ India. The Conclave was launched by FICCI in November 2007 as the "India Carbon Market Conclave". The Conclave brought global carbon credit buyers, investors and financiers in contact with a large cross-section of Indian project developers. It also facilitated the entry of new and prospective CDM project proponents through the pre-conference workshops. The Conclave was rechristened as "India Climate Policy and Business Conclave" in 2013 to reflect the business perspectives and initiatives on climate change mitigation and adaptation.

The 9th edition of the India Climate Policy and Business Conclave will offer private sector and public stakeholders an opportunity to convene and shape climate policy and business priorities in the post-Paris framework. The underlying theme for this year’s event is to deliberate on the practical and effective means of operationalising India’s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) through enhanced private sector participation, innovation and collaborative action.
